EVNCPC to invest 4,324 billion VND in Quảng Trị power grid

Central Vietnam Power Corporation (EVNCPC) plans to invest approximately 4,324 billion VND to develop the power grid in Quảng Trị province during the 2026–2030 period. This investment aims to meet rising load demands and facilitate the discharge of capacity from large-scale power projects.

Currently, 12 categories of 110kV projects are underway, which will add roughly 102.5 km of transmission lines and nearly 400 MVA of transformer capacity. This infrastructure expansion is critical as Quảng Trị is projected to add nearly 13,000 MW of power source capacity between 2026 and 2030, a figure significantly higher than the forecasted load capacity.

Local authorities have emphasized that power source development must be synchronized with grid completion to ensure connectivity. The province has been requested to review the grid system, identify priority projects, and resolve issues regarding land clearance and investment procedures.
