Evolution Travel launches 'Cani in Viaggio' pet‑friendly travel portal

Evolution Travel, a travel agency and tour operator, has launched a dedicated portal called “Cani in Viaggio” that maps accommodations in Italy that truly welcome dogs of all sizes. The portal, curated by consultant Simona Rossetti, lists hotels, resorts, campsites, residences and other venues offering dog‑specific services such as welcome doggy boxes, dog sitting, agility tracks and dedicated beaches. It also highlights locations that host breed‑specific gatherings, for example events for Labrador owners.

The service focuses on road‑trip and ferry travel, promoting routes to Sardinia, Sicily and Croatia and advising against air transport for large dogs. Personalized consulting helps clients plan trips, including vaccination checks, documentation and advance ferry bookings, often requiring up to three months of preparation. The launch responds to growing demand among Italian pet owners – more than 10 million families (37.7% of households) own pets, according to ISTAT 2024 data.
