Evrytania road safety project receives 637,608 euro funding
The Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, has approved a funding allocation of 637,608 euros to ensure the accessibility and safety of the national and provincial road networks in the Evrytania regional unit. The project, part of the Regional Development Program for Central Greece 2026-2030, covers approximately 539 kilometers of roads.
Planned interventions for the 2026-2028 period include snow removal, the use of anti-freeze materials to combat ice, the removal of landslides and rockfalls, and the clearing of obstacles to maintain traffic flow. The initiative aims to support social and economic activity in this mountainous region by ensuring uninterrupted access to settlements, healthcare facilities, schools, and local businesses during winter months.
