Ewiva to install 98 ultrafast highway EV chargers in Italy by 2027

Ewiva, the Enel‑group operator of electric‑vehicle charging stations, has won three lots in the ASPI tender to build 18 high‑power charging sites along Italy’s motorways. The rollout will place a total of 98 points capable of delivering up to 300 kW, with installations distributed across the North, Central and South regions and scheduled for completion by 2027.

Each hub will feature photovoltaic canopies, on‑site energy storage, LED occupancy indicators, 24‑hour video surveillance and accessible design for users with reduced mobility. Payment options include contactless cards, smartphone apps and Plug&Charge technology, allowing vehicles to start charging automatically when connected.
