Explosion and fire in Odorheiu Secuiesc apartment building leaves no injuries

A powerful explosion occurred in a second‑floor apartment of a four‑storey residential block in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Harghita County. The blast triggered a severe fire that spread quickly, prompting dense smoke throughout the stairwell. Emergency crews from the local fire detachment, including two fire trucks, a rescue vehicle and an SMURD ambulance, arrived promptly and extinguished the flames. No people were injured, and residents were evacuated safely. Authorities opened an investigation to determine whether the explosion was caused by a gas buildup or another technical fault.
