Serbian cities host Expo 2027 caravan showcasing local culture

The Expo 2027 caravan, part of the lead‑up to the international exposition that will be held in Belgrade from 15 May to 15 August 2027, toured several Serbian towns. In Vranje the event featured workshops, music, sport and displays of local heritage, with executives Igor Kovačević and mayor Slobodan Milenković highlighting the city’s role as a cultural hub and its inclusion in the “Serbian House” pavilion.

In Bujanovac the caravan presented the same programme under the theme “More voices, common rhythm”, stressing regional diversity and inviting visitors to explore Serbia’s tourism, gastronomy and investment potential. Danijela Vučković, director of program and content for Expo 2027, noted that more than four million visitors are expected and that over 140 countries will participate in the main exhibition.

Organisers stress that the travelling showcase offers volunteers and local municipalities a chance to promote their assets ahead of the larger event, which will combine sport, music and innovative technologies for an audience of millions.
