Expo 2027 Caravan visits Raška to promote regional heritage

The Expo Caravan — Pavilion of Games has arrived in Raška, Serbia, as part of the promotional activities for Expo 2027. The event aims to showcase the cultural, sporting, and touristic potential of the region while providing citizens with a preview of the upcoming international exhibition.

During the program, local heritage was highlighted through folk music, traditional crafts, and exhibitions, including one dedicated to Milunka Savić. The event also featured local sports demonstrations in disciplines such as karate, taekwondo, and cycling.

Marija Šljivic, a representative of Expo 2027, stated that the caravan travels across Serbia to allow every city to present its unique talents and energy. She emphasized that the Expo is designed as a long-term development project, noting that infrastructure such as museums, schools, and residential complexes built for the event will remain as a lasting legacy for the country. Additionally, the Expo's volunteer platform has seen significant interest, with over 10,000 applicants registered, including 1,000 volunteers from 119 different countries.
