Expo 2027 panoramic balloon completes test flight in Belgrade

The first test flight of a panoramic balloon featuring the colors of Expo 2027 was conducted at Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade. The balloon is designed to reach an altitude of 150 meters, offering views of the city and the surrounding green oasis.

Igor Kovačević, Executive Director of Expo 2027, stated that the balloon will serve as a new attraction for both residents and tourists, aligning with the Expo theme of exploring new perspectives. The balloon can accommodate up to 30 people per flight, with rides lasting approximately 7 to 8 minutes.

To protect the local environment, officials noted that the balloon will not reach its full altitude between November 1 and March 31 to avoid interfering with the flight paths of the protected Little Whimbrel bird.
