Expocrato 2026 in Crato projects over R$150 million in livestock deals
The Expocrato agricultural fair in Crato, Ceará entered its third weekend with a series of livestock auctions expected to generate more than R$150 million in business over the nine‑day event. Auctions include the Quatro Milha sale of high‑genetic‑quality animals, the Expocrato Show featuring Nelore cattle and caprine, ovine and equine breeds, a dedicated Santa Inês sheep auction, and a GI Leiteiro dairy cattle sale organized by veterinarian Dr. Diego.
Alongside the commercial activities, the University Regional do Cariri (URCA) hosted the Palco Sonoro cultural stage from 14 to 18 July. The program showcased local musicians across genres such as xote, reggae, blues, jazz and rock, providing a professional platform for regional artists and supporting the local creative economy during one of the Northeast’s largest agro‑industrial fairs.
