Expofeira 2026 hosts social and environmental initiatives in Feira de Santana

The 47th Expofeira in Feira de Santana is hosting various social and environmental initiatives. As part of the ‘Cuidar Até o Fim’ project, patients from Santa Casa de Feira de Santana participated in a guided visit to the Exposition Park. This humanization effort aims to provide emotional and social support to patients facing serious or limiting illnesses through activities outside the hospital environment.

Simultaneously, a partnership between the recycling collectives ‘Ginga Recicla’ and ‘Rede Sol’ is managing selective waste collection at the event. Led by Cláudio Borges, the initiative focuses on environmental preservation and social inclusion by providing income and citizenship to vulnerable workers. The project ensures that recyclable materials are diverted from landfills and sent to regional recycling centers.
