Expofeira in Feira de Santana features cultural contests and music

The 47th Expofeira in Feira de Santana features a diverse program including the return of the Garota Country contest after a 12-year hiatus. The competition, which aims to promote female empowerment within agricultural fairs, saw Maria Lúcia Longuinho crowned as the Garota Country Expofeira 2026. Other top finalists included Luane Torquato in second place and Malu Oliveira in third.

Additionally, the event’s Caminho da Roça area has attracted families through various musical performances, ranging from samba and pagode to seresta. Local singer Ney Jamayka performed for crowds at the João Martins da Silva Exhibition Park, contributing to an atmosphere of leisure and community interaction alongside the agricultural exhibitions.
