Extensive Road Closures Planned Across Bavaria for Construction Work

The municipality of Ilmenau, the district authority of Neustadt a.d. Aisch-Bad Windsheim and the Bavarian road agency have announced full traffic closures on several roads for construction projects during 2026. In Ilmenau, municipal streets between house numbers 23‑36 and 7 will be closed from 27 July to 11 September while Bayernwerk Netz GmbH undertakes cable laying. The state road ST2256 between Münchhof and Burghöchstadt will be closed from 29 June to 18 December, with detours routed via NEA 7, NEA 4, and other local roads. District‑level works will close the under‑pass KT50 Hutzelmühle–Hohnsberg road from 5 May to 28 July, and the Autobahn A3 will see full closures at the bridge area during the same period. Detour routes are provided for each affected segment to maintain traffic flow.
