Extraordinary Attorney Minami remake set for October 2026 release

The Japanese remake of the hit K-drama ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’, titled ‘Extraordinary Attorney Minami’, is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Fuji TV and Netflix in October 2026. Starring Ashida Mana as Minami Minami, a brilliant lawyer with autism spectrum disorder, the ten-episode series follows her struggle against societal prejudice despite her academic and professional achievements.

While fans await a second season of the original South Korean series, no official release date has been announced for ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ season 2. Although AStory CEO Lee Sang Baek previously confirmed intentions to produce a sequel with much of the original cast and crew, production timelines remain unconfirmed. The Japanese adaptation is licensed to Netflix for distribution outside of Japan, with weekly episodes expected to arrive around October 18 or 19, 2026.
