Extremadura approves subsidies for family aid and teleworking
The Regional Government of Extremadura has approved a package of approximately 7.7 million euros aimed at promoting work-life balance and family reconciliation. A key component of this initiative includes monthly subsidies of up to 200 euros for each child under the age of three. For the first time, these benefits will extend to families with infants under one year old.
Additionally, the government is allocating 1.8 million euros to support self-employed workers and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in implementing remote work and flexible scheduling. This program offers two compatible subsidy lines: 2,500 euros per employee transitioning to telework and 2,500 euros per flexible scheduling measure implemented. Each line is capped at 10,000 euros per beneficiary, allowing companies to potentially receive up to 22,000 euros if they combine both measures. The application period is open until November 15, 2026.
