Extremadura proposes 55 million euros for public employee salary equalization

The Junta de Extremadura has proposed an economic package of approximately 55 million euros to advance the salary equalization of General Administration public employees. The proposal, which serves as a starting point for negotiations with union representatives, would be distributed in four annual installments between 2027 and 2030.

Specifically, the plan includes 53 million euros, supplemented by a dedicated fund to align the professional categories of the Extremadura Service for the Promotion of Autonomy and Care for Dependency (Sepad) with those of the Extremadura Health Service (SES). Hugo Curiel, the Director General of Public Function, noted that while the administration is committed to improving worker compensation, the available economic margin remains limited.
