European cultural highlights: Bayeux Tapestry and Maurizio Cattelan exhibitions
Europe is hosting several major cultural events and exhibitions this September. In London, the British Museum is presenting the Bayeux Tapestry, a 70-meter long historical work, following an unprecedented agreement with France. This marks the first time the artifact has been seen in the United Kingdom in nearly 1,000 years.
In Berlin, the Neue Nationalgalerie is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Maurizio Cattelan: Night’, running from September 10 through March 2027. The exhibition features seminal and previously unseen works by the provocative Italian artist, exploring themes of innocence, violence, and collective memory.
Other notable cultural highlights include the release of a new album by the indie band Bloc Party and a new teen drama series on Netflix.
