ExxonMobil recovers $55B investment in Guyana's Stabroek Block
ExxonMobil has fully recovered its $55 billion investment in the Stabroek Block in Guyana. As the company transitions through its production-sharing agreement, its entitlement barrels from the region are expected to decline due to the conclusion of cost recovery phases.
Despite the projected decline in reported production, the asset's free cash flow is expected to rise materially. This shift toward higher profit oil allocation and lower capital expenditures is intended to allow ExxonMobil to redeploy capital into the Permian Basin and LNG opportunities, enhancing overall upstream profitability.
