Fabian Peters and Annette Heuer lead Green slate for Hannover Region election
Fabian Peters and Dr. Annette Heuer have been nominated as the top candidates of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen for the upcoming election to the Regionsversammlung Hannover. The electoral district, known as Wahlbereich 10, comprises the municipalities of Langenhagen, Burgwedel and Isernhagen. The regional assembly vote is scheduled for Sunday, 13 September 2026.
Peters, the current chair of the Green faction on the Isernhagen town council, has served on the regional assembly from 2011 to 2021 and focuses on environmental protection, regional planning, waste management and municipal finances. Heuer, a former county and town councilor and co‑chair of the Green local association in Isernhagen, is a PhD‑trained economist with policy interests in climate, nature and internal security. Both emphasize their complementary experience and pledge to work for the everyday concerns of residents in the three municipalities.
The regional assembly’s responsibilities include decisions on public transport, hospitals, spatial planning and waste disposal that directly affect daily life in the area.
