Fabio Quartararo prepares for Honda move in MotoGP
MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo is preparing for a transition from Yamaha to Honda next season. Following several difficult seasons with Yamaha, the 2021 world champion expressed a cautious outlook regarding his immediate performance with the Japanese manufacturer.
Quartararo noted that moving to Honda will require significant adaptation, similar to his recent experience adjusting to Yamaha’s V4 engine. He emphasized that he does not expect to be competitive immediately upon joining the team. His first official test on the Honda RC214V is scheduled for December 1 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, where he will also have to adapt to different tires.
The upcoming test session will serve as an initial introduction to the Honda team, with a primary focus on adjusting his riding position. Quartararo intends to use the session to identify technical weaknesses to address during winter training.
