Fable 2 receives unofficial fan-made PC port
A dedicated developer has released an unofficial PC port of the Xbox 360 title Fable 2, titled the ‘Fable 2 — ReXGlue Recompiled Project’. Unlike traditional emulation, this project uses the ReXGlue SDK to statically recompile the game’s PowerPC code into C++.
The latest version, 1.1.0, includes configuration files that allow users to adjust settings such as mouse sensitivity, gamepad mapping, and frame rates. Players can choose between 30 FPS and 60 FPS, or attempt to run the game with an unlimited refresh rate.
The developer noted that the project was initially used to test the capabilities of Qwen3. 8 27b, a local and open-source AI model, which helped get the game running in approximately one hour. Following this, significant manual trial and error was required to map functions and complete the project. Users must provide their own original game files to use the port, which is currently available on GitHub.
