Fabrizio Corona accepts plea deal in Fenice bankruptcy case

Milan judges approved a plea bargain for former celebrity photographer Fabrizio Corona, who was charged with fraudulent bankruptcy of his former company Fenice srl. The agreement converts a 10‑month custodial sentence into a monetary fine. Corona has already paid roughly €40,000 in restitution to the tax authority.

The case also involves Corona’s mother, Gabriella Privitera, who faces separate charges; her verdict is scheduled for 15 September. The court’s decision was overseen by President Nicola Clivio, with prosecutors and defence lawyers presenting the settlement.

The outcome ends the criminal proceedings against Corona while the investigation into the misuse of his former residence on Via De Cristoforis continues.
