Facebook group “Con ghét bố mẹ” becomes inaccessible in Vietnam

The Facebook group “Con ghét bố mẹ” (Children Hate Parents), which recently gained massive popularity, has become inaccessible to users in Vietnam. As of the morning of October 6, users attempting to access the group encountered a message stating, “Group is not displayed in Vietnam.”

Established in January 2021, the group serves as a space for members to share grievances and sadness regarding family dynamics and parent-child relationships. While the group maintained a small membership of approximately 2,100 people for several years, it experienced a sudden viral surge recently. Membership grew from 100,000 on September 29 to nearly 398,000 by October 5.

Content within the group includes both public and anonymous posts covering topics such as academic pressure, lack of parental understanding, and daily domestic conflicts. Because many posts are anonymous and shared from a single perspective, the accuracy of the stories is difficult to verify, often leading to controversy.
