Employees of the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš held a protest in Belgrade in front of the Ministry of Education after going more than 80 days without salaries. Protesters, including academics and students, blocked traffic in Nemanjina Street and planned a march toward the Government of Serbia building.

Faculty members claim the Ministry of Education is violating the Law on Higher Education by withholding funds and failing to respect the institution's autonomy. Specifically, they cite Article 6 regarding independent financing. The dispute follows the Ministry's demand that the faculty implement government decisions regarding the establishment of the Faculty of Serbian Studies, threatening legal action against those who refuse.

In response to the financial situation, protesters set up a box for solidarity aid. The unpaid salaries cover the months of July, August, and September.
