Facundo Moyano, former national deputy and son of truck‑drivers union leader Hugo Moyano, was detained after a chaotic early‑morning incident in the Belgrano neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. His 23‑year‑old girlfriend, influencer Candela Arizaga, was found semi‑nude on Avenida Libertador after a psychotic break that she later linked to cocaine consumption. She was taken to Hospital Pirovano, where a leg‑injury compatible with a fall was recorded and she was later released.

Moyano was released after giving an indagatory statement to the Unidad de Flagrancia Norte of the Ministerio Público Fiscal. He remains indicted for light injuries and illegal deprivation of liberty in a gender‑based violence context. The court imposed a 300‑metre no‑approach restriction and a total contact ban with Arizaga. Police seized two mobile phones, a USB drive, an Apple Watch and a syringe, but found no drugs; a toxicology test confirmed cocaine in Arizaga’s system.

A 911 call captured Arizaga running semi‑nude, and a separate 911 call from Moyano’s building reported that he was suffering a heart attack. Former partner Nicole Neumann reiterated she has had no contact with Moyano for more than five years. The investigation continues, with further forensic and testimonial evidence being gathered.
