Fado music festivals announced for São Paulo and Maia

The Festival Fado is returning to Latin America, with São Paulo announced as the first destination. Scheduled for November 2 and 3, 2026, at Cultura Artística, the edition focuses on the theme ‘Fado and the Neighborhoods of Lisbon’. The program includes concerts by Sara Correia and Camané, a documentary screening of ‘Do Bairro’ by Diogo Varela Silva, a conference by Diogo Clemente, and an exhibition curated by the Museu do Fado regarding Lisbon's historic districts such as Alfama and Mouraria.

In Portugal, the ‘O Fado Vai ao Fórum’ event will take place on November 13 and 14, 2026, at the Grande Auditório do Fórum da Maia. The festival aims to celebrate the diversity of Portuguese music through performances by the Quarteto de Coimbra, Mia Morgado, Bruno Alves, and Vânia Leal.
