Fagersta school attack investigation involves hundreds of interrogations

Police investigations are ongoing following a sword attack at Brinellskolan in Fagersta, which resulted in the death of a 17-year-old girl and injuries to three teenage boys. Authorities have conducted approximately 150 interrogations, with hundreds more expected as the extensive investigation continues.

Two individuals are currently in custody. An 18-year-old suspect is facing charges of murder and attempted murder. A 16-year-old boy is suspected of aiding the crimes; while he was not present at the school during the incident, reports suggest he had contact with the primary suspect through online forums.

Prosecutor Ann-Sofie Trossing stated that the investigation will be lengthy due to the scale of the event. Police are also conducting broad information gathering, including digital forensics. In response to the suspected online connections between the suspects, officials have urged parents to monitor their children's social media activity and digital platforms.
