Italy hosts 15th FAI Autumn Days with 700 site openings
The 15th edition of the FAI Autumn Days is taking place across Italy, featuring the opening of over 700 extraordinary sites in 350 cities on October 10 and 11, 2026. Organized by the Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano (FAI), the event provides access to many historical, artistic, and environmental locations that are typically closed to the public.
Regional highlights include the reopening of Palazzo Saladini Pilastri in Ascoli Piceno after fifty years of closure, and various cultural activities in Abruzzo, Marche, and Piedmont. In Ferrara, the program includes visits to the Teatro Comunale and local distilleries. Other notable activities include the ArcheoFamily program in Marsala and the F@MU National Family Day at MuVet.
The initiative emphasizes Italian craftsmanship and the 'Made in Italy' brand, showcasing traditional trades and manufacturing excellence alongside historical monuments. Many sites offer visits on a free-contribution basis, aiming to promote the preservation and appreciation of Italy's diverse cultural and landscape heritage.
