FAI organizes climate change awareness events across Italy

The Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano (FAI) has announced a series of cultural and environmental events for November 2026 under its #FAIperilclima campaign. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the impacts of climate change on historical, artistic, and landscape heritage.

In Liguria, Villa Rezzola in Lerici will host scientific discussions led by meteorologist Andrea Corigliano regarding the scientific evidence of global warming and its specific effects on the Mediterranean. In Camogli, the Abbazia di San Fruttuoso will feature a guided walk focused on meteorology and how extreme weather events affect the vegetation of the Portofino Park.

Other scheduled activities include a discussion at Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan on November 7, where experts will address how to design green spaces capable of adapting to climatic transformations. These events precede the COP31 United Nations Climate Change Conference.
