Fairy Tail Hiro Mashima Re:Fantasia Weekly Shonen Magazine 20th anniversary

Hiro Mashima, the original creator of the "Fairy Tail" franchise, has returned to write and illustrate a new summer‑themed spinoff titled "Fairy Tail Re:Fantasia". The first chapter was published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine issue #35 on July 28, 2026, celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary.

The series is planned for nine chapters and will conclude by September 23, 2026, giving it roughly a two‑month duration. It marks the first time in nine years that Mashima is fully overseeing a Fairy Tail manga, and the launch includes a tribute drawing of protagonist Natsu Dragneel by fellow manga artist Yoshihiro Togashi.
