Faise recovers 250 million FCFA for diaspora investment

The Fonds d’appui à l’investissement des Sénégalais de l’extérieur (Faise) has successfully recovered 250 million FCFA in debt. This amount was credited to the fund’s deposit account by the Trésor-Paierie pour l’Étranger.

Under the leadership of administrator Khouraïchi Thiam, the institution has been conducting a recovery campaign titled ‘Lepto, Fayto’ since 2025. This initiative targets beneficiaries located both within Senegal and across the 45 countries where the fund operates.

The recovered funds are intended to replenish the fund’s revolving mechanism, allowing for the reinvestment of capital into new financing projects for the Senegalese diaspora. Since its creation in 2008, Faise has financed 941 projects totaling over 4.4 billion FCFA, alongside supporting more than 8,000 women-led projects through the Financement des femmes de la diaspora (Ffd).
