Fake 69‑euro levy and fuel‑aid phishing emails target French users

A phishing campaign circulating in France sends fake emails that appear to confirm a €69 subscription renewal. The messages use the recipient’s real name, IBAN and BIC to look authentic and urge users to click a link that leads to a replica of a well‑known service portal, where personal and banking data are harvested.

A second wave of fraud impersonates the Ministry of the Economy, claiming recipients are eligible for a €108.72 fuel‑aid payment. The email, styled with official logos, presses victims to finalize the claim through a bogus link and may follow up with a “fake adviser” phone call to extract further details. The Groupement d’Intérêt Public Action contre la Cybermalveillance (GIP ACYMA) reports a 159 % rise in such phishing attempts between 2024 and 2025, with total financial losses of €245 million in the first half of 2025. Authorities advise users not to click links, to verify requests via official websites, and to report suspicious messages.
