The reform has also triggered economic shifts in the Moroccan offshoring sector. While earlier estimates suggested up to 50,000 jobs could be at risk, the Moroccan Federation of Outsourcing Services now indicates a more limited impact of approximately 10,000 jobs, noting that pure teleprospecting constitutes less than 15% of contact center activity. In response to these evolving service trends, Morocco is pivoting toward high-level expertise through its ‘Morocco AI 2030’ roadmap, an initiative aiming to create 50,000 jobs and generate 100 billion dirhams in GDP value-added by 2030.
