Falcón authorities deploy 25,000 tons of asphalt for road repairs

Falcón Governor Víctor Clark reported that over 25,000 tons of asphalt have been applied along the eastern coast axis this year as part of a national and regional paving plan. Approximately 15 kilometers of the Morón-Coro national highway (trunk 003) have been rehabilitated so far.

In the Píritu–Jacura–San Francisco section, 1,200 tons of asphalt are currently being laid, with an additional 3,600 tons planned for the coming days. These efforts are being conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Transport and the national government.

Beyond paving, the works include brush clearing, lateral cleaning, demarcation, signaling, and the installation of road reflectors. Simultaneously, rehabilitation efforts are underway on the Coro–Churuguara route and the Maicillal–Cerro Togogo sector, where over 5,000 tons of asphalt have already been used to support economic and tourism activities.
