Faliro Bay AENAON Metropolitan Park project moves toward implementation

The implementation of the AENAON Metropolitan Park in Faliro Bay is moving forward following the completion of a preliminary audit by the Court of Audit. The project, which represents the second phase of the Faliro Bay redevelopment, will be executed by a consortium consisting of Terna, Metka, Iliochora, and Elemka.

The contract is valued at 241.554 million euros plus VAT, reflecting a 5.50% discount on the original auction budget. The contract signing is scheduled for September 2, 2026, with the construction site expected to be established by November 2026. Construction is slated to begin in January 2027, with a target completion date in the second half of 2029.

Spanning approximately 540 acres, the park will feature 250 acres of new green space, including 4,000 trees and 210,000 plants. The development includes a 90-acre urban linear park, a multifunctional children's sports center, two swimming pools, and various sports courts for basketball, squash, beach volleyball, and fencing. Additionally, the site will host an open-air amphitheater, outdoor exhibition spaces, a summer cinema, and dining facilities.
