Family Funeral Hall Chain Opens New Venues in Yokohama and Mitaka

Kizuna Holdings’ subsidiary Family Funeral announced the opening of its third family‑funeral hall, Family Funeral Yokohama Nagata Hall, in the Minami‑ku district of Yokohama. The wooden‑structure facility, covering 219 m², will open on 3 August 2026 and features a 21‑seat ceremony room, dining space, and private waiting rooms. It is positioned to serve the surrounding residential area, where demand for small‑scale, private funerals is growing.

Separately, Kousaido LifeWell, part of the Kousaido Group, opened Tokyo Hakuzen Mitaka Hall in Mitaka, Tokyo, on 26 July 2024. The hall operates on a “one family per day” basis, providing a home‑like setting for family‑only ceremonies. An opening‑day event offered facility tours, bone‑density checks, and family‑friendly activities. The venue aims to ease the shortage of funeral spaces in the Tokyo‑west area and improve coordination with local crematoria.
