Murder case filed in death of former Air Force Flight Lieutenant Tahsif

A murder case has been filed against unidentified individuals following the death of former Air Force Flight Lieutenant KM Tahsif Saurir, 28. His father, KM Enayetul Karim, filed the complaint at the Uttarkhan Police Station in Dhaka after Tahsif’s body was recovered from the Turag River.

Tahsif went missing from his Uttara residence on Tuesday evening after leaving to meet a junior friend, Ahmed Shahriar Reza Deep. CCTV footage showed the two leaving on separate motorcycles. Although Tahsif sent a voice message to his mother at 1:35 AM stating he was returning home, he never arrived. His body was discovered in the river the following afternoon.

Police have taken Deep into custody for questioning. While the exact cause of death is still being determined pending a full autopsy report, Tahsif’s father has rejected claims of suicide, asserting that the government must investigate to identify the actual perpetrators.
