Fan Bingbing faces 67 million yuan debt dispute

Actress Fan Bingbing is facing a financial dispute involving a debt claim of 67 million yuan related to the project ‘Thang Thien Ha’ (later renamed ‘Ba Qing Chuan’). Dongyang Hailuo Entertainment has publicly demanded payment, citing a 2021 ruling that required Wuxi Aimei Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd. to return investments, profits, and contract violation penalties.

Dongyang Hailuo claims that despite being in the enforcement phase for approximately five years, no funds have been recovered. The company noted that Aimei Thần subsequently underwent bankruptcy and liquidation, citing an inability to pay. The project, which featured Fan Bingbing and Gao Yunxiang, completed filming in 2017 but has remained unreleased due to controversies surrounding the lead actors.

Dongyang Hailuo has also raised questions regarding financial transactions involving entities linked to Fan Bingbing and her brother, Fan Chengcheng, between 2018 and 2020, as well as changes in shareholding structures. In response, Fan Bingbing and her legal representatives stated that corporate and individual responsibilities must be determined through legal proceedings and warned against the dissemination of false information.
