Fanis Spanos approves flood protection works in Delphi and Doryla and sustainable streets in Chalkida

The Regional Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, announced the signing of contracts for two flood‑protection projects in the municipalities of Delphi and Doryla. The works, funded through the 2021‑2025 Regional Development Programme, budget €200,000 for Delphi and €300,000 for Doryla and will clean and restore riverbeds and streams that are prone to flooding.

Spanos also signed a decision to include a €500,000 sustainable‑urban development project for the town of Chalkida. The "Upgrade of Chalkida Pedestrian Network" will improve sidewalks, install LED lighting, enhance accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and expand urban green spaces, aiming to improve safety and reduce the environmental footprint of the historic city centre.
