Farnborough International Airshow 2026 generates $84.7 bn in aerospace deals
The Farnborough International Airshow 2026, held at the birthplace of British aviation, attracted 141,580 visitors from 136 countries – a 41% increase over the previous edition. The five‑day event produced more than US$84.7 billion in commercial agreements, including 353 firm aircraft orders and 904 firm engine orders.
Major manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, CFM International’s LEAP programme and Pratt & Whitney announced significant programmes. Vertical Aerospace completed the first public electric vertical take‑off and landing (eVTOL) flight, marking a milestone for next‑generation mobility. The airshow also featured defence displays from BAE Systems, MBDA and Anduril Industries, and the UAE National Air Display Team’s debut.
The sold‑out “Pioneers of Tomorrow” programme connected thousands of students and young professionals with aerospace employers, emphasizing the sector’s focus on future talent and STEM careers.
