Fatal incidents reported in Ecuador and Mexico
In Daule, Ecuador, two students aged 17 and 18 were found dead in a rural area of the Los Lojas parish. The victims, reportedly students of the Victoria Torres de Neira Educational Unit, were discovered approximately 50 meters from their school with multiple stab wounds to the chest. Local residents have expressed concern regarding the lack of permanent police presence in the area, while authorities investigate whether the incident was a targeted attack or a fight between the individuals.
In Oaxaca, Mexico, five young men aged 18 to 25 were found dead in a cabin in San Miguel Cajonos. The victims, who were from San Andrés El Alto and were in the region for fumigation work, died due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Investigations by the Oaxaca State Attorney General's Office revealed that a portable fuel-powered generator was running inside the poorly ventilated lodging, leading to a fatal accumulation of toxic gases while the workers were resting.
