Hai Phong fatal motorcycle collision prompts traffic safety crackdown

A severe motorcycle collision occurred at approximately 1:15 AM on October 25 on Vo Van Kiet Boulevard in Thach Khoi Ward, Hai Phong. The accident involved two motorcycles, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including three teenagers born in 2010. One victim, born in 2005, died at the scene, while the others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Following the incident, Colonel Nguyen Duc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Hai Phong City Police, inspected the scene and directed a comprehensive review of local traffic infrastructure, including road markings, lighting, and signage.

In response to the tragedy, police authorities have ordered increased patrols during nighttime, weekends, and major upcoming events in November. Additionally, officials have mandated a crackdown on illegal vehicle modification shops and modified motorcycles, holding local ward and commune police accountable for any existing violations in their jurisdictions.
