Multiple fatal traffic accidents reported across Japan and South Korea
A series of fatal and serious traffic accidents and incidents have been reported across Japan and South Korea.
In Japan, several fatal vehicle accidents occurred: a woman died in Niigata after her car struck a ditch and structures; a 71-year-old man died in Hiroshima following a collision between two light vehicles; a 40-year-old man died in Hokkaido after his off-road vehicle plunged 100 meters into a valley; and a 24-year-old Vietnamese national died in Kumamoto after exiting a rolled vehicle and being struck by another car. Other incidents include a 62-year-old woman dying in Ehime after her car hit a cyclist and a wall, a teenager in critical condition after being hit by a car in Okayama, and a man found dead in a waterway in Fukuoka.
In South Korea, a 20-year-old woman died in Suwon after her unlicensed driving led to her SUV crashing through a fence and falling 12 meters from a supermarket rooftop parking lot. Additionally, an 86-year-old man was found dead in a forest in Akita after going missing in a light truck.
