Multiple bodies recovered following disappearances in Brazil and Portugal
Multiple separate incidents involving the discovery of bodies following disappearances have been reported across Brazil and Portugal.
In Brazil, a body was found in a rural area of Rolândia, potentially belonging to 28-year-old Murilo Henrique Romeiro de Carvalho, who had been missing since Friday. In Bahia, the body of 23-year-old Pedro Lucas Pires was recovered three days after he disappeared during a drowning incident at a beach in Lauro de Freitas. In Pará, the body of Simone Afonso was located near an igarapé in Igarapé-Miri after her boat was found abandoned. Additionally, in Santa Catarina, a man approximately 35 years old was found in the Itajaí-Açu River after falling from a fishing vessel. In Mato Grosso do Sul, authorities are searching for a 50-year-old man believed to have fallen into the Ivinhema River.
In Portugal, a 28-year-old diver's body was recovered in Setúbal after he disappeared while performing repairs on a ship hull at Lisnave. In Figueira da Foz, the body of a man estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old was found floating in the river near the local municipality building.
