Fatih Akin presents fantasy drama Geister

Director Fatih Akin has released Geister, a stylized fantasy film set in Hamburg. The story follows Farasha and Faris, two students who connect during a celebration at the Hamburg TV Tower. Following a tragic incident during a journey home, Farasha dies, but she continues to appear in Faris's dreams for forty nights, creating a connection that blurs the lines between reality and the afterlife.

In conjunction with the film, illustrator Bea Davies is hosting a reading and signing event for her graphic novel adaptation of the story. The event, part of the 5th Dortmund Comic Reading Week, brings together the cinematic and visual narrative perspectives of the same story.
