FBI training session in Tirana focuses on transnational organized crime
The 42nd European Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA) Continuous Training Session was held in Tirana from September 19 to 23, 2026. The event brought together 235 law enforcement professionals from the United States, Albania, and across Europe to share expertise and strengthen cooperation against transnational organized crime.
Reports indicate that during these meetings, files from Washington were brought to Albania and deposited with the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Structure (SPAK). These materials reportedly involve Albanian drug trafficking groups operating in Latin America that coordinate cocaine shipments to Europe. The U.S. Embassy in Tirana stated that the partnership between the U.S. and Albania aims to ensure stronger law enforcement and safer communities.
