On Saturday, 20 October, cardiovascular surgeon Fábio Rueda officially launched his pre‑candidacy for Brazil's Chamber of Deputies at Rancho Zanoni in Rio Branco, Acre. In his speech, Rueda emphasized his decade‑long work in Acre's health sector, stating, “Cheguei ao Acre em 2010 sem qualquer pretensão política. Sou médico, cirurgião cardíaco…”. He pledged to bring his medical experience to the national legislature, focusing on health, development and opportunities for Acreans. The governor praised his service, noting, “Fábio já cuida das pessoas por meio da medicina…”.
