FC Barcelona seeks to sell Marc Casadó for up to 40 million euros
FC Barcelona is planning to sell 22-year-old midfielder Marc Casadó during the summer transfer window. The decision follows the player's exclusion from manager Hansi Flick's tactical plans, as competition from players like Pedri, Gavi, and Marc Bernal makes consistent playing time unlikely for the La Masia graduate.
The club is seeking a transfer fee between 25 and 40 million euros. Such a sale would provide significant accounting benefits for Barcelona and generate funds necessary for potential signings, including Rodri and Julián Álvarez.
Agent Jorge Mendes is currently evaluating offers from both European clubs and Saudi Arabian teams. While Casadó initially expressed a preference for playing in a European competition, both the player and the club are now open to considering lucrative offers from Saudi clubs such as Al-Hilal or Al-Ahli. If no European offers meet the club's valuation, Barcelona intends to accelerate negotiations with Saudi Arabian interests before August 20.
