FC Bayern Munich launches Asian pre‑season tour in Jeju, confirms three players out of plans

FC Bayern Munich arrived in Jeju, South Korea, to start its Asian pre‑season tour. The team was greeted by large crowds, with captain Manuel Neuer and club legends signing autographs at the airport. Bayern will play a friendly against Jeju SK on 4 August and later face Aston Villa in Hong Kong as part of the Audi Football Summit.

Coach Vincent Kompany held a press conference during the tour and confirmed that João Palhinha, Sacha Boey and Bryan Zaragoza are not in Bayern’s plans for the upcoming season. He said, “We have communicated clearly with the players and respect their contributions.” Sporting director Max Eberl echoed the message, stating, “There is no future for them at Bayern.” The club will keep the three players training with the squad until the transfer window closes, after which their futures will be decided.
