FC Metz to replace Luc Holtz with Grégory Proment

FC Metz is set to part ways with head coach Luc Holtz after only seven matches in Ligue 2. The decision follows a start to the season that, while mathematically acceptable with two wins, four draws, and one loss, has been deemed insufficient to meet the club's ambitions for immediate promotion to Ligue 1.

Holtz, who was appointed in June, will depart by mutual agreement along with his assistant, Mario Mutsch. The club is reportedly finalizing an agreement to bring in Grégory Proment to take over the position. Proment, a former FC Metz captain, is currently working as a training center director in Morocco and is in the process of releasing himself from his contract with the Moroccan Federation to return to his former club.
