FC Nantes undergoes squad overhaul with Red Star transfers
FC Nantes is undergoing significant squad restructuring under new manager Grégory Poirier following a period of tactical instability and the dismissal of previous coach Michel Der Zakarian.
The club has secured the transfer of midfielder Balthazar Pierret from Red Star FC for approximately €1 million. Pierret, who has previous experience in Serie A with Lecce, is expected to sign a three-season contract. Additionally, Ryad Hachem has completed a permanent transfer from Red Star to FC Nantes after four seasons with the club.
In pursuit of further reinforcements, Nantes made a €1 million offer for USL Dunkerque striker Thomas Robinet, though the bid was rejected. The club also explored signing defender Dylan Durivaux from Red Star, but the move appears unlikely to proceed, with the player expected to remain in Saint-Ouen. The club's recruitment efforts reflect Poirier's desire to rebuild the squad with players he is familiar with from his time at Red Star.
